Splitting a transaction

One charge often covers more than one thing — a superstore run that's part groceries, part household. Splitting divides a transaction into parts, each with its own amount and category, so your budget and reports reflect what the money actually went to. The parts always add up to the original amount, and you can un-split later.

Linking transfers

When money moves between your own accounts — a credit card payment, a savings transfer — both sides show up as transactions. Linking them tells Zypper they're one transfer, not income and spending, so they don't distort your cash flow. Zypper links these pairs automatically; if two transactions were linked in error, you can unlink them from the transaction's details.
