Our name, our mark, and how to use them.

Everything you need to show Zypper correctly: the wordmark, the mark and the app icon in SVG and PNG, our colors and type, the few rules that keep them consistent, and a short description of the company for press.

Zypper
The name

It’s Zypper. One word, capital Z.

Zypper is written as one word with a capital Z, in running text and in headlines alike. Only the wordmark sets it in lowercase. Our support agent and mascot is Rook, with a capital R.

Logos

The wordmark, the mark and the app icon.

The wordmark is the logo; use it wherever there’s room. The mark stands in where there isn’t, and the app icon is only for app stores, home screens and avatars. Every file comes in ink for light backgrounds and in white for dark ones, as SVG and PNG.

Zypper
WordmarkThe primary logo: our name in the letters we drew for it. Use it on its own, in ink on light backgrounds and in white on dark.

MarkThe Z alone, for the tight spots: a favicon, a small badge, a place the wordmark won’t fit.
Whitesvgpng
App iconThe mark on its black tile, as it appears on a home screen. Use it for app listings and avatars, never in place of the wordmark.

Using the logo

Give it room. Leave it alone.

Keep clear space around the logo of at least the height of its Z on every side, and never set the wordmark narrower than 72 pixels on screen or the mark smaller than 16. Beyond that, the rules are short.

Keep the clear space, on a plain background.
Reach for the wordmark first, and the mark only where the wordmark won’t fit.

Colors

Ink on white, on purpose.

Zypper is set in ink on white, and color is left to the things themselves: categories, the logos of banks, photographs, and Rook. The one accent is the teal the app uses for its controls.

InkEvery word on the site, and the logo on light backgrounds.
BlackThe app icon’s tile, and nothing else.
WhiteThe page itself, and the logo on dark backgrounds.
TealThe app’s accent: links, switches and the primary button inside the product.
Type

Söhne for words, Geist Mono for figures.

The site is set in Söhne: Buch for reading and Kräftig for headlines. Labels, dates and figures are set in Geist Mono, and inside the app the interface is set in Inter. Söhne is licensed from Klim Type Foundry and isn’t part of the kit; Geist Mono and Inter are open source.

Rook

Meet Rook, our mascot.

Rook is Zypper’s AI support agent, a pixel bird who replies first on chat and email at any time of day. He appears wherever there’s help to be had, in the help center and in the chat, and never in place of the logo.

RookRook as drawn, in a version for light backgrounds and one for dark. Keep him whole and upright, and give him the same room as the logo.
