Find your YNAB receipt

You’ll upload it when you pick your plan.

YNAB’s web app
Click your plan’s name at the top of the sidebar, then Account Settings. Under YNAB Invoices, click View and select an invoice to download. YNAB also emails a receipt at each renewal.
App Store
In the App Store, tap your photo, then Apps & Purchase History › Purchase History. Or sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Google Play
In the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions › Budget & history.

Billing lives in YNAB’s web app, not the mobile app. Its Subscription section says whether Apple or Google bills you instead, and a Trial section means you haven’t paid yet: YNAB’s trial has no receipt.

Export.csv

Download your YNAB data

Your full history, as files to keep.

Whole plan
Click your plan’s name at the top of the sidebar, then Export Plan. Two CSV files download: your categories and groups, and every transaction. Targets and category notes aren’t included.
Some transactions
Open an account or All Accounts, tick the transactions you want (the header checkbox selects them all), and click More › Export Transactions in the bar that appears.
Reports
Open Reflect, pick Net Worth, Spending Breakdown, Spending Trends or Income v Expense, set the filters to all categories, dates and accounts, and click Export. Net Worth exports each account’s month-end balances.

Exports only work in YNAB’s web app, and only while you’re subscribed: YNAB closes your plan when the paid period ends, so export before then.

Cancel YNAB

When you’re ready, cancel where you subscribed.

YNAB’s web app
Click your plan’s name at the top of the sidebar, then Account Settings, scroll down and click Cancel Subscription.
App Store
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions › YNAB, and tap Cancel Subscription.
Google Play
In the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › YNAB, and tap Cancel subscription.

You keep YNAB until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and can resume until then. After that the plan closes, though YNAB keeps its data for up to 24 months in case you come back. In a YNAB Together group, only the group manager has a subscription to cancel.

Moving from YNAB

Set up in minutes, with your history intact.

Zypper connects to the same banks and cards, fills in your history on its own and drafts a budget from it, so moving over is mostly signing in to your banks.

Targets become amountsA Refill up to target is a monthly amount in Zypper: each month starts fresh. A Set aside another target is the same amount with Roll over unspent budget on, so what you don’t spend builds up. For a yearly target, set the category’s spending frequency to every year and enter the full amount, and rollover turns on by itself.

No credit card payment categoriesCard purchases count in their own categories as soon as they sync, and the payment to the card is recognized as a transfer between your accounts, so it never shows as spending. There’s no payment category to fund, and nothing to reconcile: balances come from the bank every day.

Tracking accounts connect tooInvestments, brokerages, mortgages and loans connect through Plaid like any other account, and their balances feed your net worth. Anything without a connection, like a car or a private loan, is a manual account whose balance you set.

The fine print

The whole offer, in plain words.

Everything the offer comes with, and the little it doesn’t.

The switch offer for YNAB customersEvery term of the offer.
For new Zypper customers whose household hasn’t had a Zypper subscription before.
Claim it with the “Claim 90 days free” button on this page: signing up any other way doesn’t bring up the offer.
Show a paid YNAB subscription: a receipt, invoice or billing email, an App Store or Google Play receipt, or the charge on your card statement, dated in the last 12 months.
Essentials starts with 90 days free instead of 7.
Premium Credit has no free trial, so it’s 50% off your first 3 monthly bills instead, or the same amount off your first year on yearly billing.
A card is needed to start the trial. Nothing is charged until it ends, and canceling before then means you’re never charged.
A receipt can claim the offer once, for one person.
The offer takes the place of a free month from a friend’s referral link; the two don’t combine.
Your receipt is checked automatically, and Zypper doesn’t keep the file: only what the check read from it, like the app, the date and the amount, and a fingerprint of the file so it can’t be used twice.
The offer also covers Monarch Money.
Zypper is not affiliated with or endorsed by YNAB, whose name is a trademark of its owner.
