Changelog

What’s new in Zypper.

Release notes for Zypper, including new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

  1. Assistant access, account balances, and clearer credit insights

You can use the assistant with your subscription, track accounts from the dashboard, review credit insights, and manage related broker sites together.

    Highlights

Use the assistant with your subscription

You can now open Assistant from the dashboard menu with an active subscription and an available household seat. Ask it to split transactions, rename accounts, refresh connections, or manage recurring charges, with your approval before changes run. A guided tour helps you get started, and Approve all or Deny all lets you respond to several proposed changes together.

Track your accounts from the dashboard

You can now see accounts grouped by type in a new dashboard card, with balances, balance changes, and a time range selector. Expand groups to see more accounts; wider layouts also show balance sparklines and credit usage bars for eligible card accounts.

    Review related broker sites together

You can now review sites belonging to the same broker family together in the privacy dashboard, reflecting when one removal request covers several sites. Open a family to see each site's removal status, the personal information found, and a shared removal guide. Where available, alternative instructions and fallback guidance help when the standard removal steps don't work.

Explore the facts behind your credit insights

You now get credit report insights with key facts, explanations, and next steps drawn directly from your report. Select an account, inquiry, or public record in an insight to preview its details without leaving the insight. A ring marks the insight you're viewing.

    Improvements

    • You can filter budget categories and the Flex pool by All, On Track, or Over Budget, alongside search.
    • You can use the Budget impact transaction filter to show transactions included in or excluded from your budget.
    • You now get alerts for stalled or stopped bank syncing, distinguish stopped connections from stale data, and reconnect directly from emails or inbox notifications.
    • You can preview shared replies, turn individual links off, stop sharing an entire chat, and identify shared chats in the chat list.
    • You return to your previous chat when you leave Assistant and come back through the sidebar.
    • You can ask the assistant what your current plan includes and how its features compare with other plans.
    • You now receive role-aware cancellation guidance from the assistant, directing household owners to Settings > Billing and members to their household owner.
    • You can see why assistant access is unavailable before sending a message, with billing links where applicable.
    • You now see the reset date when you reach your monthly assistant allowance.
    • You can browse assistant suggestions in a vertical list that wraps on narrow screens and shows a send indicator on hover or keyboard focus.
    • You can ask the assistant to create savings-goal rules that keep each transaction's category; rules with inapplicable category changes are rejected.
    • You now return to the dashboard page you originally requested after signing in, including its selected settings section.
    • You see category changes immediately in both the transaction row and details panel while they save.
    • You can compare transaction and recurring-group details before confirming a mismatched assignment, side by side on larger screens or stacked on mobile.
    • You now see the total amount due, rather than an item count, under Later This Month in the recurring card.
    • You can review privacy removal progress in a reorganized card, with scan timing and action links in its footer.
    • You now see your next incomplete setup step first, with a description and action, while completed steps collapse into an expandable group.
    • You can use a friend's referral link after creating your account, as long as you haven't subscribed.
    • You can opt out of referral invitation emails, and email footers now use consistent preference links.
    • If you haven't subscribed, we now email you signup reminders and show eligible offers during plan choice and checkout.
    • You now see broker site icons in privacy emails and notification emails when available.
    • You can compare plans with feature-specific icons, a clearer current-plan marker, and consolidated offer details in the plan selector.
    • You can create rules and tags from empty states, with consistent settings cards, edit controls, and clearer billing prompts when household seats run out.
    • You can more easily read dashboard captions, dates, subtotals, settings descriptions, and dropdown menus with higher-contrast text.
    • You now see consistent row sizing, amount weights, card headers, button shadows, and dialog corners across the dashboard.
    • You can distinguish empty transaction attributes from assigned values, with panel badges sized to match their labels.
    • You now see centered success confirmations for subscription resumes, referral invites, and verification, with email addresses wrapping instead of truncating.
    • You can more easily spot transactions needing review through an inbox icon and a more prominent pending-review count.

    Fixes

    • Your assistant's upcoming-charge lists and weekly recap emails no longer count card autopays or transfers between your own accounts as charges.
    • Your confirmed budget proposal no longer goes unapplied because its amounts were copied incorrectly, and proposals now explain scaling.
    • Your approved assistant changes now run in order, so a monthly budget override isn't overwritten by its base budget.
    • Your assistant's budget status now includes categories with carried balances even when no new monthly amount is set.
    • Your assistant no longer sets budgets or rollover on Savings categories, preventing inflated Left to Budget totals.
    • Your assistant's monthly income-versus-spending answers now account for linked refunds, matching the cash flow page.
    • You no longer receive a different historical month disguised as the month you requested in an assistant report.
    • Your assistant's net worth history now preserves the full requested period instead of dropping its beginning when there are too many points.
    • Your assistant's credit results no longer overcount undated inquiries, omit frozen accounts from open accounts, or hide bureaus with missing scores.
    • Your assistant's category searches now match the category you see, and links to Transactions no longer promise mismatched result counts.
    • Your assistant's transaction searches no longer silently repeat or skip results when a follow-up changes the sort direction or filters.
    • Your requests to review every transaction now include transfers and card payments; filtered changes explicitly show when transfers are left out.
    • Your existing transaction splits no longer get replaced through the assistant, protecting their tags, notes, review state, and recurring assignments.
    • Your manual edits and higher-priority rules are preserved when the assistant applies a new rule to existing transactions, with a match count before approval.
    • Your assistant no longer errors while a transaction rule's details are still streaming.
    • Your assistant usage meter no longer misses replies stopped after they begin or interrupted by a disconnect.
    • You no longer lose checkout or billing return details when your browser truncates a long redirect link.
    • Your transaction edits, syncing, and recurring matching no longer fail because simultaneous updates block one another.
    • Your transaction tags stay visible without overlapping account names or leaving unnecessary gaps beside categories.
    • You no longer see drag handles behind open category or rule editing dialogs.
    • Your referral summary now keeps invitations sent after a friend's signup separate from that signup.
  2. Assistant actions, recurring payments, and money emails

Explore and update your finances in chat, review recurring payments, get money summaries and alerts, and download credit reports as PDFs.

    Highlights

    Update your finances in chat

In the assistant, you can explore spending, budget availability, upcoming bills, and net worth history, with charts you can switch to tables. You can also update transactions, create rules, manage categories, and set category or Flex budgets—including proposed amounts based on your usual spending. Changes wait for your approval.

    Review your recurring payments

On the recurring page, you can see monthly commitments, filter by category or merchant, and sort payments by due date, amount, or name. Payment history charts and row sparklines distinguish paid, missed, and expected cycles, while Needs review brings missed payments and price changes together. A guided tour walks you through the page.

    Get money summaries and alerts

With a connected bank, you can receive Sunday recaps, monthly reports, and alerts for income, large transactions, low balances, and budget thresholds. Charge reminder emails focus on large payments, renewals, or overdraft risk, and quarterly check-ins summarize subscription changes. In notification settings, you can also opt into a 9am transaction review digest that requires at least three new transactions and waits on days with a weekly or monthly summary.

Download your credit report as a PDF

You can now download a printable credit report with your profile, scores, accounts, inquiries, public records, and payment history, including side-by-side bureau comparisons. Find the download button beside the refresh button in the credit report page header.

    Improvements

    • You can complete privacy setup in three steps, with grouped personal details, optional extras, and a review before activation.

    • You can use Share reply on an assistant response to create a public link that anyone can view without signing in.
    • You can dictate assistant messages using the composer's microphone button, then insert the transcription into your draft or send it.
    • You can attach up to five PDFs or PNG, JPG, and WebP images to assistant messages, with a four-megabyte limit per file.
    • You can ask the assistant about credit score changes and the factors or recommendations in your report, with estimated gains identified as estimates.
    • You can ask the assistant about credit utilization and recent inquiries, with answers identifying the report date and contributing bureaus.
    • You can switch between assistant chats while replies continue, with an indicator beside chats that are still replying.
    • You can expand or collapse long messages you send without losing your reading position.

    • Your new chats appear in the sidebar as soon as you send a message and receive a title automatically from that first message.
    • You can start a New chat from a dedicated desktop sidebar row or a labeled button on mobile.
    • Your assistant has a redesigned composer, consistent message spacing, and an always-visible header with the current chat title.
    • Your chat list now shows loading placeholders, clearer connection and loading errors, a retry option, and an indicator when you scroll down.
    • You see varied greetings and Rook's finance-themed animations in empty assistant chats, with animations respecting your reduced-motion preference.
    • You see assistant results as formatted tables, filter chips, and budget confirmations instead of raw technical output.
    • You get guidance to connect accounts or retrieve a credit report when the assistant lacks data, rather than confusing empty results.

    • We now email you before your free trial becomes paid, with billing details and direct links to change plans or cancel.
    • You see more consistent status badges, secondary text colors, and text sizes across dashboard rows.
    • You can scroll and interact with the page while informational popovers are open; dismissing one inside a dialog leaves the dialog open.
    • You can open a settings section and press Tab to enter its menu at the current section rather than the first item.
    • You can switch cash flow chart styles, keep your preference, and explore a sliding monthly detail chart with an average line.
    • Your cash flow view now uses compact text-only tabs and light chart labels with borders.
    • You can see year-to-date totals and monthly averages in cash flow details for categories, category groups, and merchants.
    • Your finance tours now highlight the full visible details panel rather than only its top bar.
    • You return to the top of dashboard sections while keeping your previous selection; the transactions table retains its scroll-to-selection behavior.
    • You see finance detail panels from the top when selecting a different item, while unchanged selections preserve their scroll position.
    • Your slide-out panels now open, close, and snap back without animation when you prefer reduced motion.
    • You can use Select all in net worth chart account settings to restore excluded accounts, replacing the general reset button.
    • Your recurring dashboard summary now shows its ring and amounts without a hover tooltip.
    • You now see separate recurring subscriptions for different billing days, and pending charges with related merchant names can join existing recurring groups.

    • You see which missed payment you are dismissing and a clearer explanation that its recurring group remains active.
    • You now see variable recurring payments as a nominal amount marked est., rather than an amount range.
    • Your recurring-payment emails now show each payment's amount and billing frequency.

    • Your archived or deleted chats no longer reappear during navigation or receive messages after removal.

    • You see the correct Command or Control shortcut symbol after page load without a layout jump.
    • Your credit report status badges and balance captions no longer overflow into neighboring columns.

    • You can navigate away while a credit report refresh runs without being blocked or redirected back when it finishes.

    • Your chats open at the newest message without scrolling through older messages, and preserve your reading position when hidden and shown again.
    • Your reopened chats catch up with changes from other tabs, and chats deleted elsewhere show a not-found state instead of stale content.
    • Your recurring bills stay recognized through schedule changes and off-cycle charges, while unrelated charges no longer reprice ended subscriptions.
    • You keep keyboard focus in the cash flow details chart when navigating between months, even when the focused bar leaves view.
    • Your name retains mixed capitalization, accents, hyphens, and generational suffixes in the app and emails.
    • You can navigate rapidly between dashboard items without getting stuck in an incorrect selection or a rendering loop.
    • Your keyboard-focused account, recurring-payment, and budget rows stay visible instead of hiding beneath sticky headers.
    • You see readable text instead of untranslated codes in budget, recurring-payment, bank-connection, and credit-score messages.

Transaction review, referrals, and switching offers

You can track transaction reviews, invite friends and follow your referrals, and claim a switching offer when you join.

    Highlights

Keep track of transactions you've reviewed

You can now turn on Transaction review in preference settings to track which transactions you've checked. Review controls, filters, and bulk actions follow your preference, so you can mark transactions reviewed as you go.

    Invite friends and track referrals

You can email invitations or copy your link from referral settings, then follow invitations and signups in Friends you've invited. The redesigned page shows email addresses, waiting statuses, and reward progress, and prevents repeat invitations to the same inbox. You earn referral rewards when a friend's first paid invoice succeeds.

Claim a switching offer when you join

New customers switching from another money app can upload a subscription receipt during onboarding to claim a switching offer.

    Improvements

    • You can explore finance pages through guided tours and replay them beside page titles or through Help & Support.
    • You can switch cash flow months from the appbar with arrow keys; comparisons now exclude the unfinished month and follow your time zone.
    • Your linked refunds reduce cash flow spending by default; turn off Net refunds against spending if you prefer to count them as income.
    • Your pending transactions now use the categories of earlier matching transactions that posted to inform automatic categorization.
    • You can distinguish completed recurring payments in dashboard tiles with Paid badges for expenses and Received badges for income.
    • You can now use one-tap sign-in on the login and signup pages.
    • Your login and signup pages have a split desktop layout, while sign-in confirmation and error pages use a centered layout.
    • You can see Zypper's customer count below the signup button, with legal notices kept in the page footer.
    • You can skip the goals and attribution questions during onboarding, and both steps now use consistent two-column choices with shorter phone labels.
    • If you join through credit report onboarding, you go from identity verification straight to plan selection, without situation or partner questions.
    • You can read feature explanations on the couple plan card, including how invitations, billing, and shared financial management work.
    • You now see when an active offer prevents changing billing intervals, and cancellation offers respect the same restrictions.
    • You can see which referral or switching offer applies during plan selection, along with offer-specific terms for what happens after your trial.
    • Your referral reward is reversed if the qualifying payment is fully refunded or disputed, and the referral stops counting toward your reward cap.
    • You can turn off Credit report insights emails in notification settings or reach those settings from the email footer.
    • Your feature emails have clearer contrast, illustrations, and status pills; credit report insights emails now preview scores and key insights.
    • You can distinguish urgent alerts from informational updates by their email sender display names.
    • You see clearer trial dates, status, and actions in sidebar cards, with consistent icons and hover feedback.
    • You see more consistent text, icon, and button sizes in app banners and alerts.
    • You see consistent headings, spacing, and action footers in referral invitation, verification, and credit report onboarding dialogs.
    • Your dashboard's budget rows and recent transactions use more consistent spacing and typography.
    • Your payment-success confetti now bursts from the triggering element and stays off when you prefer reduced motion.
    • You can type a letter on a closed searchable dropdown to open it and begin searching, or use arrow keys to open it.
    • The auto-set preview no longer projects Left-to-Budget; you can check the resulting amount on the budget page after confirming.
    • You no longer see the credit-report assistant or suggested follow-up questions on credit reports.

    Fixes

    • Your connected accounts receive transaction updates and connection-status changes again; accounts affected during the interruption may need a manual sync.
    • Your completed account sync no longer switches back to showing an in-progress status until you start another refresh.
    • Your transaction edits no longer revert when an older request finishes loading.
    • Canceling a recurring-group confirmation now leaves your transaction in its original group instead of saving the change.
    • You now see one error message, rather than two, when removing a recurring group fails.
    • Your spending overview now lowers its running total when linked refunds exceed charges, instead of adding those refunds as spending.
    • Your transactions no longer fail categorization because a group name is used instead of a valid category.
    • Your activity timestamps, net worth charts, and account balance charts now use your configured time zone rather than your device's.
    • Your credit reports no longer fail because an account or inquiry has an unfamiliar business classification.
    • Your referral benefit no longer applies twice when you change billing intervals, and payment confirmation still shows the benefit used.
    • You now see trial-expired messaging when the payment at trial end fails, rather than messaging for an ordinary overdue subscription.
    • Your screen reader can still identify buttons by their labels while they are loading.
    • Tooltips no longer stay open after you click and move the pointer away, while keyboard focus still shows them.
    • Your tour cards wait for scrolling to finish, stay within the screen at larger font sizes, and keep highlights visible at panel edges.
    • Your focused fields and overlays stay above the phone keyboard, including onboarding's sticky controls, and login pages no longer scroll unnecessarily.
    • You now enter each onboarding step at the top on phones, including when navigating backward.
    • You return to dashboard sections at the top, or with the selected item in view, instead of retaining an unrelated scroll position.
    • Your dashboard charts now appear with the rest of the content instead of arriving afterward and shifting the layout.
    • Your referral invitation dialogs now keep rounded bottom corners and wrap long email addresses without clipping them.

Budget dashboard card, guided budget tours, and faster navigation

This week brings a new budget card on your dashboard, guided tours for the budget page, and faster-feeling dashboard navigation.

    Highlights

Track this month's budget from your dashboard

You can now see a Budget this month card on the dashboard home page, with your spending, remaining budget, pace, and categories running over budget. You can also open a preview from an over-budget row before jumping to the full budget page.

Take a guided tour of the budget page

You can now take a guided tour of the budget page, with steps that point out the month switcher, summary, spending categories, Flex pool, and Auto set. It starts automatically once for eligible desktop-sized screens, and you can relaunch it from the app bar.

Move around the dashboard with less waiting

Dashboard navigation now responds sooner: the sidebar selection, page title, and mobile sheet update as navigation starts, and recently visited sections stay ready in the background. This makes switching sections feel faster, especially on larger households.

    Improvements

    • We launched a new Zypper website, redesigned from the home page to the help center.
    • The login and sign-up form now uses a refined email field, keeps the resend button width stable while loading, and better preserves its accessible name.
    • The credit onboarding address step now lets you search the state field by name or abbreviation.
    • The dashboard's getting-started budget step now completes when you actually have a budget set for the current month.
    • Notifications now load in pages, and the archive loads only when you open its tab.
    • On phones, the budget app bar, budget amount popover, and data sharing codes fit better on narrow screens.
    • Opening a recurring group's panel now shows its chart right away instead of waiting for the transaction list.
    • The recurring card now leaves out linked transfers between your household accounts when showing net worth impact.
    • Magic link, email change, and household invite emails now use Zypper's current email layouts and copy.
    • Credit report onboarding has a visual refresh.
    • Onboarding now includes new plan choice, trust, goals, situation, attribution, identity, and trial steps.

    Fixes

    • Refreshing paginated dashboard lists no longer breaks after the first page when pagination state is stale.
  5. Budget spend tracking, email alerts, and tag management

You can now track your budget through spending, receive account-aware email alerts, and manage tags from settings.

    Highlights

    Track spending against your budget

You can now use a spend-tracking approach to budgeting rather than envelope budgeting. Hover over a remaining amount in your budget to see the month's spendable budget, activity, and difference. New guides in the help center's Budgeting & categories section explain spending pace, rollover, Flex spending, and recurring bills.

    Get finance alerts by email

You now receive emails about connection issues, newly available accounts, recurring transactions, and upcoming charges, based on your notification settings. Emails identify affected accounts and distinguish credit card payments and transfers from charges. Related recurring and upcoming notifications are grouped into digests, with upcoming charge reminders delivered in your local morning.

    Manage tags from settings

You can create, rename, recolor, and delete tags in Settings › Tags, with confirmation before deletion. In transaction tag pickers, type a name with no matches to create a tag and choose its color, or select Manage tags to open settings.

    Improvements

    • You see consistent spacing, text styling, and button sizes across dialogs, with resized email and code inputs.

    Fixes

    • Your cash flow no longer counts eligible bank-funded wallet payments twice.
    • Your inline budget amount fields no longer stay grayed out while the rest of the dashboard refreshes after a save.
    • Your dashboard tabs left open during an update now reload when needed instead of crashing on changed data.
