Editing and removing accounts

Editing an account
From your accounts list you can:
- Rename an account so it reads the way you think of it
- Include or exclude it from your budget — excluded accounts still count toward net worth, but their transactions don't affect budgeting
- Mark a credit card as long-term debt — for cards carrying a balance you're paying down over time, so day-to-day budgeting isn't distorted by the existing balance
Removing an account vs. removing a connection
These are different actions with different consequences:
- Removing a single account deletes that account and its data from Zypper, while the rest of the accounts from the same bank stay connected.
- Removing a connection disconnects the entire institution — every account it provides stops syncing.
If an account merely isn't useful for budgeting, prefer excluding it from your budget over deleting it — you keep the history and the net worth contribution.
